Nexus War Character Generator

If you're here, you're probably looking for the character generator. Yes, I made it, and it took me a while, but it should be in working condition now. This and this is an example of a build generated using the character generator.

Usage:

  1. Select your first skill. That unlocks the Level and Delevel buttons
  2. Level up by clicking the Level button.
  3. Select the next skill. If you wish not to buy a skill, hit the Level button again.
  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3, till you are happy with the skill build.
  5. At any point, if you change your mind about some particular skill choices, hit the delevel button.
  6. Once content with the skill build, click the Generate button. This will generate your skill build. You can save this page by pressing Control-S for later perusal

Silly Bug:

  1. In the event that you Level and then Delevel without selecting a skill, the CP banked goes wonky. No worries, just Delevel again and relevel (you will need to buy that skill again) to fix the CP banked counter.

Notes:

  1. Updated to Straylight
  2. When below level 10, you can bank a maximum of 40 CPs, under 20, 70 CPs. Any overflow is wasted. The program warns you if you do so. (The game doesnt behave as such anymore. You cant select your next tier class till you go below cap)
  3. You can only learn spells once you have the Cast Magic skill.
  4. Changing a Tier 3 class midbuild will require you to delevel to lvl 19. Similarly, changing your Tier 2 class will require you to delevel to level 9.
  5. The character generator is only 2324 lines long, has only 43097 words and has only 262367 characters :) To compare, this page has 153 lines, 3935 words and 17732 characters.
  6. Running Up That Hill (Live) by Kate Bush (with David Gilmour) is a great song.

Krai's NW Pathfinder Tool v1.1.5

Acknowledgement: This extension could not exist without the NW Pathfinder created by Pallas.

What it does in brief - After calculating the path using the normal NW Pathfinder site, directions will be shown in a display above the NW map and indicators will be added on the map and in the "Door and Portal Actions"-panel when appropriate.

A short tutorial:

You right-click on the map in the NW page. and select "Calculate Path To..."

Example 1

The NW Pathfinder site will open in a new tab with your location filled in as "Origin" (you still have to select the right plane).

You follow the normal "path finding procedure".

When the path has been calculated you can go back to your NW tab and it will be updated with directions to your destination.

Example 2

To cancel the path at any time, just right-click on the map again and Choose "Cancel Current Path".

Explanation of the display;

There are 3 rows in the display:

  1. Destination: this row shows the end-location and the minimum ap and mp you'll have to spend to get there. This gets updated every time you move.
  2. Checkpoint: The tool works with checkpoints/waypoints where you have to go to. the location of either the next checkpoint or your current location if you're standing on an "action"-checkpoint* is shown. You can use the "skip"-button to skip a checkpoint in case it's hard to reach. This cannot be done with "action"-checkpoints* or when you're standing on a checkpoint.Only use this when you're close to the checkpoint you're going to skip.
  3. Action: This shows the action you have to take to get closer to your destination and its ap/mp cost.

Explanation of the indicators;

  1. Map indicator: This indicators appears on the map. This will either be an arrow pointing in the direction you have to move in or a border around your current location if you have to perform a "Door and Portal" action.
  2. Button indicator: A border will appear around the button you have to press in the "Door and Portal Actions"-panel. It is possible that more than one button has a border. This only happens when there are multiple portals and you do not have sense magic.

"Action"-checkpoint; A checkpoint where you have to press a button in the "Door and Portal Actions"-panel.

Maps of Nexus War

Straylight is here, and it brings with it MORE PLANES!

I have personally made the maps for Nifleheim and Nimbus.

Their clean versions : Nifleheim, Nimbus.

Most of you must be aware of the ubermap by now. I did most of the coding for it (the planar jumps, the coordinate display, general bits and pieces; and finally the stygia and paradise portal links). I also did the Stygia and Paradise maps. Now the stupid thing is that I already had a purgatorio map made, but Katy made another one from scratch! Talk about duplication of effort! Not to take credit from Katy, she photoshopped the extra doodads on the maps (such as the visual indication of portals), linked the portal jumps of the rest of the planes (yes, there are a lot!), coded the portal exit rose and put the portal lines in purgatorio back in. That is an immense effort. So above all, Katy is first and foremost the owner of the map. The only reason why I put this here is so people realise that I did some work, too!

The original Saint Germaine map was not made by me (nor do I recollect who made it).

There were maps for the other planes, but I did not like those maps of Paradise and Stygia (Map Keys: 1 2)

So, in keeping with the style of the original, I made the maps of Paradise and Stygia, respectively. Squinting at the monitor, with an open PS. Heh.

Update: Completed the set. Stygia, Paradise, Purgatorio and Valhalla, with their clean versions as well Stygia, Paradise, Purgatorio

Lore of Haldon

The Lore of Haldon is the name given to a collection of writings about the nature of the Nexus, the Elder Powers, and the nature of the various planes written by the uberlich, Haldos.

Fragments of the Lore of Haldon may be found by searching within certain locations within Stygia, Paradise, and Purgatorio.

If the character manages to discover all fragments of the Lore of Haldon, his maximum Magic Point total will be increased by 10 points.

Clicking the link below will give you the text of the lore of Haldon. Refrain from clicking if you do not wished to be spoilt.
